First Married Valentine's Day= TOMORROW!

I want to introduce you to my valentine! Meet the Mister. Joe is a Christian-school teacher, a basketball coach, play director, historian, sports enthusiast, amazing cook etc. etc. etc. Seriously, the man does it all! I'm so thankful for him. When they say opposites attract, they must have been talking about us. We seriously are completely different in almost everything. In fact, I know many people that were convinced that we were almost too mismatched to work out. The funny thing is, we match up in all the right ways. I’m obnoxiously cheerful-he’s serious. I’m a terrible cook... he’s practically a chef! Or how about the fact that he’s incredibly motivated... and I’m more on the laid-back side. I like ballet, he likes football. But, you know what? We make it work. We definitely balance each other out. I love him with all my heart, and I’m so thankful that God put him in my life.

  1. That's a beautiful picture! :)

Also: I know it's popular to think "opposites attract" - but you know what I recently learned in a class I'm taking? Research shows this "fact" is untrue! When we look at our partner and compare them to ourselves (and when other people look at us and compare us to our partner) we tend only to see the ways we are different - not all the ways we are the same - like our values, our aspirations, certain aspects of our personality, and certain interests. :)

Hope you have a wonderful first married Valentine's Day! Happy I stumbled upon your blog :)

    1. I learned that in psych class, as well! You are very right, we met when I was 2 at church, so it's been so nice to have a common background. Thank you so much for checking out my blog! I've never had a comment before. :) Made my day.
